Attention all of my Midwestern friends! THIS PIECE OF MINE was accepted for the 2008 Scarab Club Silver Medal Exhibition: Blooms, Blug & Beasts show at the historic Scarab Club in Detroit, MI! If you're in the area, the opening reception is on the 6th of June and I'd love to see you there.

Updates galore!

On the school front: At Eastern Michigan University, I was awarded The Fred C. and Ford R. Bryan Scholarship for Teaching Science last month!

On the new client front: I'm working closely with Jackson Laboratories in Maine on a new venture.

On the 'I completely forgot to mention this' front: I was chosen to be a part of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago's Alumni Calendar. I was in the jury's Top 20!

On the 'fruits of my labors' front: The Atlas of Anatomy (Tank/Gest; Wolters Kluwer Health) that I've been working on since 2005 is now for sale!

I've been contracted by two new clients during the holidays: Anne Ruthmann Photography & Doctor Beasley's, Inc. Stay tuned to see the final designs for these two awesome companies!

Also, I'm happy to report that I earned a 3.4 GPA in my Fall classes at Eastern Michigan University, including a B in Organic Chemistry and an A- in Physics!

Also, I started back at school to finish medical school pre-requisites only to discover that I'm only 36 credits away from a 2nd Bachelors degree. Now, I'm hoping to graduate from Eastern Michigan University with a BS next summer.

I self-published two books of my drawing-a-day project thru blurb.com! They're available in softcover & hardcover and the first 30 people to buy each volume receive a signed and editioned bookplate from me! You have to send me your address, though, don't forget!

And, MORE exciting news yet today: Blurb's editors picked my books to be in the "featured books" section of their bookstore! Wow!
